A Person May Never Fully Understand How Far One Act of Generosity can Travel- Happy 94th Birthday Rev David Sseremba.

There are people who change the world with great speeches, and there are others who change the world through simple acts of kindness.

Sometimes, a person may never fully understand how far one act of generosity can travel.

It can cross generations.

It can change the destiny of a family.

And it can give hope to a child who may one day change the world.

Yesturday, my family gathered at Kamuli Church kf Uganda to celebrate the 94th birthday of Rev. David Seremba, a remarkable man whose life reminded me once again of the incredible power of kindness. During the celebration I met Dr. Rev Seremba elder brother who is 101 years and another Bishop in church who is 91 years. They prayed for me alsoto make 100 plus years while i interviewed them.

In 1973, Rev. David Seremba encountered my late grandfather, Elkanah Serubugo, a humble servant of God who travelled through the streets of Kampala with his family, including my mother, singing church hymns and sharing the Gospel.

My grandfather was a poor man with six children, and only two of them were attending school at the time.

Then an act of kindness changed everything.

Rev. Seremba decided to support the education of those children and pay their school fees for as far as they could continue.

One of those children was my mother Esther Nasuna Favor.

Because someone believed in her future, she was able to continue her education and eventually became a professional teacher.

That decision did not only change her life.

It changed the future of our family.

Today, as her son, I can look back and clearly see how one person’s generosity opened doors that reached far beyond the child who was originally helped. The impact continued to her children and grandchildren.

This story is deeply personal to me because I too am a product of kindness.

Throughout my educational journey, God used different people—some of whom were not even members of my family—to help me continue with my education. There were moments when total strangers became instruments of God’s provision. Apart from my Master’s degree, which I largely funded myself while benefiting from a partial scholarship, much of my educational journey has been made possible through the kindness of others and the amazing grace of God. The President of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni sponsored me and I attained my first Degree (Bachelors of Journalism & Mass Communication)

When I look at my life today, I do not only see my own achievements.

I see the fingerprints of kindness.

I see the sacrifices of my family.

I see the generosity of people who believed in me.

And above all, I see the hand of God working through human beings who chose to help.

I have contacted HTP President for North America Dr. Joan Ross and Breath of the Spirit Ministries President Dr. Michelle Corral for fundraising to support our education programme, and that means more than simply raising money.

It means believing that a child who has little today can have a better tomorrow.

It means believing that education can break cycles of poverty.

It means believing that children from vulnerable families deserve an opportunity to discover their potential.

And it means believing that the future of a child is worth investing in.

Nelson Mandela famously said:

“It is through education that the son of a miner can become the head of a mine.”

I believe this with all my heart.

Somewhere in Uganda, Africa, and around the world, there are brilliant children who may never get the opportunity to go to school simply because their families cannot afford school fees.

Among them could be future doctors.

Teachers.

Scientists.

Engineers.

Journalists.

Leaders.

And people who will one day transform their communities and nations.

But before they can fulfil their potential, someone must give them an opportunity.

That is why I believe the education programme we are building is so important.

Through scholarships, school support, and eventually the development of educational facilities, we can help secure the future of children who would otherwise be left behind.

I appeal to every one who believes in this vision to partber with us.

Your kindness may help educate a child.

That child’s education may transform a family.

That family may transform a community.

And that community may help transform a nation.

This is the power of one act of kindness.

I sincerely believe that the seeds of generosity you are planting today will produce fruit for generations to come.

As President of Heal The Planet Global Organisation – HTP, I want to assure you that I remain committed to working hard to ensure that the resources entrusted to this vision are responsibly directed towards creating real opportunities for vulnerable children and securing their future through education.

Together, we can help children dream again.

Together, we can open classroom doors.

Together, we can provide scholarships.

Together, we can give hope where there was once despair.

And together, we can build a legacy that will outlive us.

Thank you for your friendship, your compassion, your generosity, and your willingness to stand with us in this important mission.

Through your compassion and actions, you are preaching one of the most powerful messages the world can ever hear: the message of love demonstrated through action.

May God bless you abundantly for every child whose future will be brighter because you chose to care.

And may the generations yet to come remember that there were people who believed in them before they even had the opportunity to believe in themselves.

One act of kindness can change a life.

One opportunity can change a family.

One educated child can change a community.

And together, we can change generations.

With deep appreciation, love, and gratitude,

Dr. Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin, L.H.D (Hon)

President, Heal The Planet Global Organisation – HTP
