It was a great pleasure flying with the Japanese Ambassador to Uganda, H.E. Sasayama Takuya.

Japan continues to be one of Uganda’s valued development partners, providing over US$6.6 million in supplementary budget support for 2025–2026 towards refugee assistance, healthcare, waste management, and disaster risk reduction. Through partnerships with UN agencies and local communities, Japan is supporting vulnerable populations in Karamoja, strengthening host communities, constructing vital infrastructure such as the Kampala Flyover, and donating essential medical equipment to improve healthcare services across Uganda.

We deeply appreciate Japan’s continued friendship, generosity, and commitment to Uganda’s development and humanitarian efforts.
