HTP President Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin speaking at the Launch of Private Sector SDGs Platform posed a concern if the East African Intergration with shared common challenges is being considered while promoting the agenda.
In response UG government official said If there’s anything we shall ever remember about the current Ugandan leader is his call take on the Africa Free Continental Area Treaty opportunity.
The launch at Serena Hotel yesterday Tue 4th May 21 was attended by Rt Hon Premier Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, Hon Mary Karooro Okurut, UN Top Envoy, H.E Rosa Malango, Hon Dr Elly Karuhanga chairman Private Sector Foundation, Dmitry Pozhidaev Global Advisor Local Government Finance, Head of UNCDF offices Uganda, Gideon Badagawa ED, Private PSFU. Sessions were moderated by Hon Victoria Ssekitoleko and presenters included Jackson Mugisha Group CEO of Zoctu and Ecosys.
The panelists were Sanda Ojiambo, ED United Nations Global Compact, Peter Kimbowa, Team Leader, CEO Summit and Wilbrod Humphrey Owor, ED Uganda Bankers Association.
Several Members of the Youth Coalition for SDGs also attended.
