Heal The Planet Global Organisation (HTP), in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations, welcomes the recent ceasefire agreement between Iran, United States of America, and Israel, describing it as a critical step toward restoring peace and stability in the region.
The conflict, which HTP considers unnecessary, has resulted in a devastating humanitarian crisis marked by the loss of innocent lives, destruction of infrastructure, and widespread economic hardship across the globe.
The closure of the Strait of Hormuz triggered a historic disruption in global oil supply, while tragic incidents—including the February 28, 2026 missile strike on Shajareh Tayyebeh Girls’ Elementary School in Minab—claimed the lives of over 170 children and contributed to a broader death toll exceeding 2,000 people.
The destruction has extended to historical sites, universities, homes, and essential infrastructure.HTP also notes the significant loss of life and destruction within Israel, further highlighting the far-reaching consequences of the conflict. The organisation commends Donald Trump and the leadership of Iran for choosing diplomacy and dialogue over continued confrontation.
“We urge global leaders to recognize that war drains billions in taxpayer resources—funds that could instead address urgent domestic challenges—while costing countless innocent lives,” the organisation stated.
HTP further reflects on the October 7, 2023 attack, known as Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which significantly escalated tensions. The coordinated assault led to approximately 1,200 deaths in Israel, mostly civilians, and the abduction of 251 individuals. In response, Israel’s military offensive in Gaza has resulted in large-scale devastation, with over 72,000 الفلسطينيين reported dead and more than 172,000 injured, including a significant number of women and children.
Despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire initiated in October 2025, violence has persisted, with additional casualties recorded since its implementation.HTP calls for restraint from all parties and emphasizes that the people of Palestine have endured disproportionate suffering. The organisation also highlights the global ripple effects of the conflict, including disruptions in international travel, trade, oil supply, and investment flows.
HTP calls for a complete and sustained end to hostilities and urges Iran to encourage all affiliated groups to pursue peaceful engagement and constructive dialogue.
