HTP President Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin is in Nairobi lobbying Kenyan leaders for the 1st Senior Citizens Convention. The justification for this are issues touching several challenges the country faces including peace, security & stability.

Kenya and other East African countries have been a scene of various attacks attributed to terrorism. In 1980, the Jewish – owned Norfolk Hotel was attacked by the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) killing 20 people
In 1998, the US embassy in Nairobi was bombed killing 85 and 4000 wounded, while 11 died in Dar es Salaam ad 85 wounded as was the Israel – owned Paradise hotel in 2002.
In 2013, the militant group Al- Shabaab killed 67 people at Westgate shopping Mall. There have been numerous other lesser attacks not forgetting 1975 Nairobi bombing killing 30 people, 2002 Kikambala Hotel bombing and Arkia Airlines missile attack in Mombasa killing 13…
